Re: "In the Newly Redrawn 9th District ......" article, Teaneck's Deputy Mayor, Adam Gussen, describes Scott Garrett as representing the fringe of the Republican party, not sensitive to the needs of those he was elected to represent and trying to outdo the most right wing of the right wing. I disagree with these statements. Scott Garrett is one of the few "menches" in congress. He has fought to maintain our freedom here in America and here in New Jersey. Less regulation (not no regulation) means more freedom. He believes in less spending, thereby lowering taxes. He believes in promoting the private sector (that employs 70% of the nation's workers) thereby putting America back to work, etc.

What an impressive line up of entertainers and speakers you have collected. Not sure if Alan Dershowitz would have been an incentive for me to book that cruise, but I like alot of your musical guests.
Will continue to read your other posts and may have to take a cruise with you quite soon. Cruises have always been my favorite type of holiday. You just can not beat the value - travel to several locals, never have to unpack more than once, lots of great meals, entertainment, relaxation, just a perfect way to spend 10 to 14 days away from the office!

As a lover of Israel, I would welcome being added to your mailing list. I am especially hopeful we can get Allen West
to consider running for President 2012 - what a strong voice
he would be for Israel from the White House! He is loyal to
his constituents & we must make an effort to get them to
release him thru petitions so he'll see he can best represent
them and the rest of the US from that office.

It was believed by far too many for far too long that only squirrels played played with nuts. We now know otherwise. UNESCO, acting as the Ssquirrels has in its limited intelligence and insane bias recognized that the groups insisting that Rachel's tomb is an Islamic site are truly nuts, lunatic fringe bias and jealous hatred aside.

I was unaware until this morning of this declaration by UNESCO, which cannot even be called pro-Palestinian by fueling greater discontent among differing peoples who call this land home. What legitimacy could possibly be granted to deny people the right to pray on the sites where their ancestors also lived and prayed for centuries? May your voice be heard by the Highest Court of all.

"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His anointed." Psalms 1:1,2
To oppose Israel, is to oppose the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
How foolish are all those who persecute and harass God's beautiful Covenant People. I admonish all my fellow believers to stand with Israel and "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" in these troubled times.

"Friend of Palestine" convicted of anti-Jewish harassment and vilification
A Western Australian, Brendan Lee O'Connell was convicted on 6 counts of anti-Jewish harassment and vilification in the Western Australian District Court by a 12-person jury.

Mr O'Connell was at a South Perth supermarket in 2009 as part of a Friends of Palestine "BDS" [anti-Israel delegitimisation and vilification] protest against the sale of Israeli oranges, when he harassed and taunted a Jewish student, shouting that Judaism is a "religion and race of hate" and the student is a "racist homicidal maniac".

During the trial he compared Judaism to an organised crime syndicate, said he was proud to be associated with holocaust denier Fredrick Toben, and asserted that "Jews control the entire world".

The charges carry maximum penalties of up to 14 years imprisonment.

When the Israeli Government announced its intent to add the sites to its tentative list for consideration for World Heritage Status, other nations pointed out that they are in the geographic area classified by the United Nations as "Occupied Territories". The representatives of the nations elected to the UNESCO Executive Board asked the Secretariat to deal with the question. It appears to have been felt that UNESCO should not be placed in a situation in which it appears to take sides in a territorial dispute before the United Nations. The resolution carefully used both the terms for the sites used by UNESCO and those used by Arab states.

May this find Well, You - and All with You.

A kashrus supervisor should provide and pay the salary of the mashgiach. If, however, the mashgiach and the owner have a falling-out, for whatever reasons, the agency should provide at least one substitute. Sometimes, two persons of undoubted goodwill, simply can't get along.

What matters is whether there were violations of kashrus, or not. This is a matter of fact. No one should allege that there were, unless there is solid proof. If the owner properly enforces the law, and makes sure all employees also do so, then no one should say that the restaurant is "unfit". To say this is to defame the owner. This is "loshon rah" and also a violation of civil law. Dina d'malchusah dina (in areas wherein Torah law does not go, the civil law binds us). Thus, even if such statements were not loshon rah, they are unlawful under civil law.

This is an example of how brutality in the wider community has spread amongst Jews. Jews can have disagreements: that is how the Talmud shows us to extract wisdom and insight.

But disagreements should be civilized: "bad mouthing" another person, who has not done anything obvious to merit it, is a clear violation of the Law, that Moshe Rabaynu brought down from Sinai.

I urge the aggressors to step back and to consider, how they will explain themselves. Will they be compelled to quote Judah,
"Ma nomahr u mnitztadok... " What can I say and how can I justify myself?"

The OK is one of several organizations, which strives to maintain the highest standards of Kashrus. If anyone in Bergen County faults the OK, let him or her be very specific. Absent that specificity, such criticisms should be dismissed.

I do not work - any have never worked - for any kashrus organization. I do believe that doing business in uncivilized ways in wrong. Sinnas khinnom - baseless hatred - led to the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash. No one should be brutal, except where there's no choice. The instant matter is not such a matter.

I hope all those involved will re-think their approach. Those, who want to do business brutally, should go to places like Lebanon, where minor disputes are settled with machineguns and grenades.

In short: be civilized to each other and forget not, before Whom you will stand.

I have Jewish heritage on my Mother's side of the family and find t a disgrace what is being done to the people of Israel. I visited Israel in 1979 and felt a great sense of peace when I was there, although there was dissention in Hebron at the time. I pray for the people of Israel and wish with all my heart that peace will prevail. I don't believe that the Palestians really care about Rachel's tomb but just want to create more misery for the Israel people. Unesco is an evil organization and should be stopped.

The essay says that Rachel's Tomb "itself was never used as a mosque." But this is simply untrue. In fact, when Israel took over the Tomb, following the 1967 war, it was, in fact a mosque. In 2001, the Jerusalem Post, a mainstreat Israeli daily, ran a wonderful feature on Rachel's Tomb, “Who weeps for Rachel?” which even provided some details on how, as the article put it, “Rachel's Tomb was clearly changed from a mosque to a synagogue”, e.g. niches used by Moslems for candles were turned into places for prayerbook and books of psalms. You can read the piece for yourself at http://bit.ly/9BFILy

Correction. This was a follow up from complaints from the Anti-Defamation League, who's mission is to combat anti-Semitism, which includes Phoenicians, Syrians, and anyone else who can be "lumped in" with the Assyrian tribes. Suffering from anti-Arab attacks? They are included in this action of enforcement.

All this at the behest of the British and German Wiccan, African voodoo mongers, and atheists? We were unaware that the USA was supporting archeology preservation and management. This latest action of declaring the matriarch Rachel a Muslim is unacceptable.
If this matter has NOT been submitted to the Vatican and the US Bishops, it will be.

Just want to say that my husband and I and friends we were with thought "Wallenberg" was magnificent. We recommended it to the teachers in the school in which I work (Yavneh Academy) and to my daughter and husband.
Several "intelligent" people took my advice and were in total agreement with my review of the play. The voices were beautiful and the music very moving. I hope a production of "Wallenberg" will find a new home in the NY/NJ area so that many more people can have a memorable theatrical experience. Kudos to all involved with the production.

It is my hope that Congressmen Boehner and Cantor will be able to US Government to completely withdraw all support for the corrupt UNESCO before they approve a mosque on the White House lawn.
